What are the differences between screen printing and DTG for bulk t-shirt orders in India?

Screen printing uses a stencil-based process to apply ink in layers, making it cost-effective and durable for bulk orders with simple, limited-colour designs, which is why it remains the standard choice for most corporate t-shirt branding in India. DTG, or direct-to-garment printing, sprays ink directly onto the fabric like an inkjet printer, which makes it better suited for detailed, multi-colour, or photographic designs, but it's typically more expensive per unit and less cost-efficient at very large volumes. For a simple company logo in one or two colours on a large bulk order, screen printing is usually the more economical choice; for a complex, colourful design on a smaller batch, DTG often delivers better print quality.
